Meeting at John Tyler’s produce store on Main Street, the Osborne Park RSL Sub-Branch was formed by returned World War I veterans on 14th April 1919. Shortly after, the town donated two blocks of land near Cape and Main Street to the Sub-Branch for their own hall.
Thanks to funds raised by the local community, and with bricks made by Sub-Branch members, the Osborne Park RSL Sub-Branch Memorial Hall was opened by First World War General and Western Australian Architect Sir Talbot Hobbs on the 22nd November 1930.
